Testing

Assessments are an important part of your child's education.  There are various tests at every level that are required by the state.
        
Second grade will take the OLSAT (IQ test) once in late fall. Third, fourth, and fifth grades will take the STAAR reading and math tests, with fourth also taking writing and fifth taking science.

5th grade is designated by the state as a Student Success Initiative grade level, which means they must pass the reading and math STAAR tests to go on to the next grade level.
